    Abstract  The application and development trend of stimuliresponsive polymer in textile and finishing area were discussed.From the aspects of stimuliresponsive functionalization finishing and functional structure design,the ways to realize textile intelligence were introduced.The development potential of intelligent textile in shape memory，visual aesthetics，intelligent wetting was reriewed.It is considered that intelligent textiles are developing in the direction of personalized customization and multifunctionalization.
