arrow Study of Graphene Used for the Antistatic Finishing of Cotton Fabric

Abstract  The anti static effect of graphene loaded cotton fabric was discussed.Firstly,oxidized graphene was prepared with advanced Hummers method.Then,direct impregnation method was adapted to obtain oxidized graphene treated fabric.After that,sodium citrate was used for reduction.Charge surface density of the fabric was taken as the index to optimize the process of oxidized graphene reduction.The experimental results showed that the ideal treatment process was 0.4 g oxidized graphene,3.5 g sodium citrate,100 ℃ reduction temperature and 3.5 h reduction time.After process optimization,the charge surface density of graphene loaded cotton fabric was 0.028 μC/m2.Moreover,the fabric had better washable property.It is considered that the graphene loaded cotton fabric has better antistatic property.
